Tango Bardo is one of the most popular Argentinian tango bands.
Their music is heard and danced around the world. Their personal sound and
style are chosen by the best professional tango dancers for their exhibitions
or competitions. Worldwide Tango Djs include always Tango Bardo in their
milongas.
The band is formed by Juan Miguens on double bass, Lucas Furno on
violin, Santiago Polimeni on bandoneon, Lorena Donvito on piano and Roberto
Minondi on voice.
The band was formed in 2014. That year they participated in the
Musical show “Chantecler” by the famous dancer Mora Godoy. With this show they
performed in Paris (Chatelet theatre), Tokyo (Orb theatre) and Buenos Aires (at
the Alvear theatre, The Opera and Teatro Astral).
In the milonga circuit (“milongas” are Argentine tango social
dances), they debuted at La Viruta, and quickly became part of the regular
programming of milongas such as: VillaMalcolm,
Salon Canning, Salon Gricel, Marabu, El Beso, etc.
They also travel throughout Argentina performing in milongas,
theaters and festivals (Rosario, Rio Cuarto, Baradero, La Rioja, Tucumán,
Arequito, La Plata, Carlos Paz, Olavarria, Mar del Plata, and other cities as
well.)
In 2015 they were invited to play at the gala milonga of ETI
(Encuentro de Tango del Interior) where more than 1000 tango dancers danced
simultaneously to their music in the city of Rio Cuarto.
Tango Bardo provided the music for many different tango shows,
between 2015 and 2017 such as: Compania Mora Godoy, Tango Legends and Tango
Desire, with which they toured China, Thailand, Singapore, France, Japan,
Uruguay, Chile, Spain, as well as Rosario, Mendoza, and Cordoba, in Argentina.
In 2025, Tango Bardo won “Best Album of the Year” at the 21st
Century Tango awards, for the album, "Darienzo Anticrisis."
